TAMA O LE AISA

Term 3 has been a busy term for the students of Tama O le Aisa.

Students gave up their lunch times and after school to practice in preparation for this years Otago Polyfest (OP). This year OP celebrated their 25th year and so it was important for the group to have a set that would make the school, families and old boys proud.

It has also been a tough year for many of our families in our community. We have 9 students who had lost a loved one over the past year. The group dedicated our performance to those families and what a performance it was. With a collection of original material mixed in with a taste of traditional Samoan and Tongan dances, Tama O le Aisa lit the stage a light last night with an entertaining, fast paced and emotional performance.

A big thank you to the Senior leaders Henry Stowers, Michael Pupuali'i, Simon Pupuali'i, Ratu Fosita and Laulelei Finau who choreographed, wrote songs and designed the costumes for the group. We also farewell a number of students who, for them, was their last Polyfest performance.

Thank you for your commitment and support over the years.
