The Otago Boys' High School has a very active and supportive parents' association.
The parents meet in the Library on the third Thursday of each month with the Rector/Deputy Rector in attendance, to discuss what is going on in the school as well as to organise and assist with school events, fundraisers and Open Nights.
This year, the Parents' Association are delighted that over $26,000 has been given to the school to support the students. Our aim when allocating funding is that it must benefit as many boys as possible, and we believe that we have succeeded in doing this.
The money has been spent on: Chrome books for Syrian students, an AED defibrillator, a traveller curtain for the auditorium, supporting boys attending overseas sports trips, tents for Mt Aspiring Lodge, and a new metal lathe for the technology department.
We are always looking to welcome new members, so please contact the school office for further details.
