Over the long weekend, several overdue maintenance tasks at our school Lodge were tackled.
The skills of builder Matt made short work of many projects which included upgrading the student shower facilities, reinforcing the balcony railings, repairing a leaking roof, adding a storage cupboard, and making a start on repainting the roof. Warm and sunny weather conditions made it possible to drive building materials right up to the Lodge but also made it tough working all day out on a hot tin roof.
The next steps in the maintenance plan will be completing the rest of the student washroom makeover with painting and some new fittings, completion of the roof painting, and sealing/resurfacing some of the floors. I may soon be calling for volunteers to help so watch this space!
