Senior prize giving was held on Thursday 1 November at the Regent Theatre. It was a special occasion to celebrate the students success throughout the year.

Hayden McAlister - Dux

This young man truly loves and lives for all learning and knowledge on any topic. From smashing out a 20 page essay on the causes of economic strife in Tudor England to examining the underlying elegance of the mathematics of Simpson's Paradox, Hayden’s passion for learning seems limitless. It is, however, the sharing and giving back that is most impressive. Hayden has jointly led the running of twice weekly academic tutorials for all age groups. He has also run the show in a Calculus Scholarship session. With 316 Excellence credits over 3 years, an A+ average in a University of Canterbury Mathematics paper, studying for 7 Scholarship Subjects and a perfect Grade Point Average of 4.0, he is:  1st Chemistry, 1st Digital Technology, 1st History, 1st Physics, 1st Statistics
