Congratulations to Year 9 student Ryan Dey and Year 11 student Elliott Alloo who competed at the Otago Long Course Swimming Championships over the weekend.
Ryan came away with 3 bronze, 4 silver and 3 gold medals. As well as taking out the championship trophy for overall winner for his age group!
Ryan also gained a couple more qualifying times for a national meet next year, and a whopping 7 personal best times out of his 10 races.
Competing in the Mens 16 and over category, Elliott received 2 gold medals (50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke), 2 silver medals (100m breaststroke, 200m breaststroke) and a bronze medal (200m freestyle) as well as a 6th placing in the 50m butterfly events. He was also a member of 2 winning relay teams. Over the event Elliott achieved 3 personal best times.
Well done gentlemen, your hard work and your commitment to your sport is to be commended.
