On Monday, the Year 12 Earth and Space Science students visited a number of sites around Dunedin to find out all about the local geological history.
With the help of Mr Zani and Geologist Nick Mortimer from GNS, students were shown how to make careful observations of the rocks and use these observations to understand how the rocks were formed and have since been worn away again.
Who knew you could stand in the middle of a volcano in Dunedin?
