National Touch Tournament

Over the weekend we had a number of boys and Old Boy's representing Otago at Touch Nationals.

Current students Jacob Greer, Angus Faulks, Oliver Bugden and old boy's Tim Barham and Sam Rowe competed in Otago's first ever U21 Men's team at Nationals. They gained a silver medal. Making it to the final in their first year of competition is almost unheard of.

Old boy's Kane Johnson, Jordan McEntee, Mackenzie Faulks and Jordan Hand competed in the Otago Open Mixed team. Having this number of athletes in Otago's premier Touch team just goes to show the strength of our Touch program, and the level of talent and skills our boys leave school with after competing for many years.

We also had Logan Whitty referee at Nationals. He had a strong tournament and was awarded the Youth Referee of the tournament. This is an outstanding achievement.

We would like to congratulate all our boys on a fantastic tournament. They are well deserving of the accolades coming their way.
