Tena Koutou, Tena Koutou, Tena Koutou Katoa
Year 10 camp gives students an opportunity to step outside of their comfort zone away from the school environment. To experience a new setting, with a new set of challenges, with a new set of people.
A special mention to the class of 10Y for testing the first waters of 2019. But most importantly for passing the baton, as the Otago Boys’ Lodge lives on for its 42nd year.
To the Year 13’s; Colby, Jared, Nic, Patrick, and Sam. We thank you for the great banter we shared and the effort you applied into making our camp a special experience. I should hope that your hard work and commitment has inspired many of us to return and do the same.
To our teachers; Mr Steadman, Mr McCrone, Mr Golder, Mrs Wansink, and Mr Roe. Thank you for your backbreaking work from behind the scenes and what you do to keep this OBHS tradition very much alive. Finally, a huge thank you to the legendary Mr Black, for your experience and for your knowledge about the Lodge. Your involvement and commitment to the Lodge over the years has been nothing short of exceptional. Thank you.
For past boys, OBHS Lodge holds a plethora of fond memories and past experiences to cherish and look back on, regardless of age. To the boys of the future; you’ve got something to look forward to... Above all, remember to embrace each moment and every opportunity; because before you know it, you’re leg is over and it’s your turn to pass the baton. The Lodge is an important part of the Otago Boys' tradition; it has stood for over four decades and is certain to thrive far into the future...
