Last week over 500 competitors from all over New Zealand competed at the NZ Division II Swimming Championships held at Moana Pool.
Elliott Alloo won gold in 16-18 years 50m Breast Stroke (in a personal best time), was in the winning 200m Individual Medley Relay (Neptune) and also placed 4th in 200m Breast Stroke and 50m Freestyle. Elliott is also a member of Neptune Swim Club which won top club.
Harry Summers won bronze in the 800m Freestyle 12-13 years, smashing the Otago 12 years record by over 30 seconds. Harry also placed 4th in both 50m Fly and 100m Fly. Harry achieved 5 personal bests.
Ryan Dey placed seventh in the 100m Fly 14 years. Ryan achieved 6 personal bests.
Otago won the top region for the first time ever.
