Things ran a little differently this year. Mr Matehaere was given the day off, and Mr Willmott’s Year 11 Applied PE class took over the organising. With increased marketing, the event saw record entries. Usually struggling to reach double digits, this year we had 28 students competing!
It was an exciting event with the extra numbers providing plenty of atmosphere. There were also a number of great performances by the students. While no new records were set, Jack Divers, Richard Wang and Harry Summers were stand outs in their respective age groups.
Participants competed in a range of championship and non-competitive events. The event finished with the big finale, the diving competition.
While feedback is still to come in, our thoughts are that the event ran smoothly and was well organised. We spread the news well and informed House leaders which helped to boost entries. All together we were happy with how the event turned out and how the students got involved and displayed many of the School values.
Park House were the overall winners.
