I am an Otago junior golfer and a member of the Otago Boys’ Golf team.
When I was 6, I had an accident which resulted in the loss of my left eye. Despite this injury I started playing golf at the age of 7 and fell in love with the game. Since then my golf has progressively improved and in the last 3 years I have started to really take it seriously.
On Monday the 29th of April I flew to Auckland to attend the NZ Golf awards and NZ Golf Chairman’s Dinner at Remuera Golf Club. I was awarded the 2018 National All Abilities Golfer of the Year Award. Other national award winners included Ryan Fox and Lydia Ko and Mount Maunganui received Club of the Year. It was great to be amongst so many people who have done so much for golf in NZ.
