Theo Smith and Rohan Leckie-Zaharic from Year 10 and Emir Erkinov Year 9 travelled to Auckland to compete in the DNZ National Open and Junior Elite Championships.
Rohan and Emir competed by invitation in Age Group. Rohan placed 1st in all of his events and gained a PB on the 1m. Emir came 5th in both his events and also achieved a PB on the 1m.
Theo competed in the Junior Elite Nationals placing 2nd in all his events and placing 1st in the synchro event competing with Filip Larsson from Auckland.
Theo headed to Perth with 22 other divers from around the country to compete at the Australian Age Championships. He placed 2nd on platform and 5th in both 1m and 3m events, his highest placings in an international event in individual placings. He then travelled to the Gold Coast to the Diving New Zealand Training Camp in the world class facilities used in the Commonwealth Games.
Theo will now travel to Singapore at the beginning of June to compete at the Singapore National Championships.
