Notice Of Upcoming Industrial Action

By Richard Hall | Posted: Thursday May 30, 2019

Yesterday was a day of industrial action in schools across New Zealand.

Unfortunately, it appears that action has not resulted in any change or shift in the position.

Therefore, the PPTA have confirmed that the next stage, rostering home of individual year groups, will commence.

This action affects one whole year level on a designated day. Consequently, we are unable to staff the affected year level's classes on that day. This means your child will need to stay home. Year 9 is the first year level to be rostered home, on Tuesday 4, June.

As a number of our Year 9s are coached by parents, this does not affect training or games on Tuesday. However, the boys will need to get themselves to the practices/fixtures, e.g. hockey.

The full rostering home timetable is below.

TUESDAY 4 JUNE - YEAR 9

TUESDAY 11 JUNE - YEAR 10

TUESDAY 25 JUNE - YEAR 11

TUESDAY 2 JULY - YEAR 12

The school understands the disruption this will cause, particularly with being closed tomorrow, Friday. That mid-term break has been in the calendar since November 2018, so we felt we could not change it.

We apologise for disruption.
