Censor For A Day

Our year 13 and 12 students took part in the Office of Film and Literature Classification’s bi-annual classification activity on the 12th of June.

Schools from around Otago and Southland attended to view a film that has not yet screened in New Zealand in order to practice – and justify – their skills of film classification.

The students viewed Jonah Hill’s movie “Mid 90’s”, which will screen shortly in Dunedin cinemas as part of the annual film festival screenings. It was an enjoyable, but challenging movie that provoked a lot of thought and discussion in the post-movie discussions. Our boys enjoyed the activity and engaged positively in all aspects of the day’s activities.
