Dr Judith Bateup has hosted 100 of our students in her University Microbiology labs over the last couple of weeks in support of their internally assessed learning in antibiotic use and vaccinations.
Hands on activities using the powerful University microscopes has allowed the students to prepare slides of bacteria and view electron microscopy images of virus. This experience is, for some, their first visit to the University campus and is an outstanding opportunity to gain an insight into the role of University research in our lives.
