Senior futsal kicked off on Thursday night to the beats of Polyfest, and the games were high tempo too. The competition is being played over the last three weeks of the term, with two games played each night.
The OBHS Futsal 1sts started with good wins over John McGlashan and Bayfield. In the latter, the team came from behind to win 3-2 against the Term One winners. In the other matches, the results were mixed, but the boys played with determination and represented the School well.
With exam leave beginning next Thursday, boys are encouraged to check the Futsal Noticeboard at school when in or look online at: http://www.footballsouth.co.nz/FUTSAL-1/Futsal-Fixtures-Results A reminder to juniors that Term 4 futsal is being organised now. You should receive your Term 4, summer sports registration soon.
Be sure to register for futsal and pay the fee. (This includes entry to the competition and the Edgar Centre as well as a bus to the games). Playing strips are the junior PE uniform together with navy School football socks, and shin pads. Teams have provisionally been made. If you missed the meeting, and are wanting to play, see Mr Willmott as soon as possible.
