Last week Eddie Wright, Ryan Dey, Danny Gilbert and Harry Summers competed at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Swimming Championships in Hamilton.
With over 730 competitors at the meet, competition was tough!
Harry Summers (13) claimed silver in the 100m butterfly. Harry also placed in the top 10 in 4 other events, 6th 100m Freestyle, 7th 200m Freestyle, 9th 200 Individual Medley and 10th 400m Freestyle.
Danny Gilbert (15) also made top 10 placing 9th in the 200m Butterfly.
The boys competed in the 15 and under Relays. Their top placing was in the 4x100m Freestyle Relay where they placed 11th. This is an outstanding achievement as both Eddie and Ryan are 14 and Harry 13.
The OBHS swimmers finished the meet with 90% personal bests.
