At Labour Weekend the place to be was the OBHS Lodge. A small group of enthusiastic volunteers tackled some of the necessary maintenance chores.
The main goal had been to get one of the boys washrooms redecorated which was successfully accomplished. Thanks to our school caretaker, Lee, we now have exceptional lighting throughout the Lodge with new LED tubes replacing all the old florescent tube lights. The problem now is that the rejuvenated bathroom right beside the untouched one really shows up how shabby that one is – accentuated by the extra power of the new lights. So this means I’m on the hunt for the next batch of volunteers to get that room sorted too.
A huge thank you to Lee, Paul, Alex and Charlie who gave up their long weekend to help with the transformation.
