9H are finishing Term 4 with a statistical investigation into Google Reviews using Google Maps, on local businesses and organisations.
Many reviews are irrelevant and somewhat unfair. After defining what an unfair review is, the boys then investigated the impact of this on the overall average Google Review (out of 5).
This involved visiting some of the businesses in the CBD with a set of questions the boys had designed to survey businesses and their workers. They asked them what they thought of Google Reviews. After an hour in town surveying, the boys did their bit to increase the GDP of Dunedin, via one of the many multinationals that occupy George Street!
We will finish next week with a letter each boys signs to Google HQ (somewhere in California we think!).
