Our very fit and capable Year 13 Human Biology students totally smashed the practical recordings taken at the University of Otago School of Physical Sciences this week.
Josh Potter on the treadmill with a VO2 max score well above national adult average. Harrison and John facing off in the immersion tank, Lachie had the swim tests sorted and Jacob on the exercycle in the climate chamber at 40 degrees Celsius.
An excellent learning experience, a hands-on activity for every student and a power of data collected for our Biology and Maths projects going forward.
Thanks, Dr. Nigel Barret, Ben Smith and Jamie for giving us this stand out opportunity.
