A Message from the Rector

A spell of excellent weather has made the second physical week of school one of our best. There has been a noticeable lift in the performance of the school as we bend our backs to spring forward out of this situation.

My thoughts this week have turned to the community of people in Dunedin, who are or will soon be, put under considerable financial pressure.

This week we have encouraged our school community to support Larnach Castle and The Brothers Boutique Hotel, both run by old boys who have helped our school develop. If you have the opportunity, please do support them, especially while we have this 'second summer'.

I also encourage families to consider paying regularly into the school, to clear their son's account. Regular payments, for example $20 per week, really build up over time. The stress of facing bills is never easy. Schooling is one of the most important investments you can make in your child. As always, if you are facing financial hardship, the best thing you can do is tell us. While it may be hard to do, our school genuinely appreciates the opportunity to be part of the solution.

Enjoy our first long weekend since February!
