A massive thank you to the PTA for providing funds to purchase a telescope to support our students learning about Earth and Space Science, particularly astronomy.
On Monday night, the scholarship ESS students observed the moon, including the Sea of Serenity and the Sea of Tranquility, along with many craters and smaller features. We also learned about the moon's history and formation from the Theia impact of about 4.5 billion years ago.
I am planning to run some astronomy sessions later in the term for enthusiastic students. Anyone who is interested should get in touch with Mr Zani.
