As part of the Otago Boys’ High School Scholarship programme Mr Andrew Swan and Terry Kerr (Old Boy & University of Otago - Economics Lecturer) organised a Term 4 treat for the current students with a guest lecture from Professor Paul Hansen - University of Otago Economics Department.
Paul spoke to both Economics and Business Studies students about some of the real life choices that confront them now and in the future and demonstrated some of the online tools that he has been involved with to help individuals and businesses make better economic, business & life decisions.
Paul is the co-founder of the 1000minds decision-making and conjoint analysis software company which powers one of his websites that he showed the students No Major Drama – The smart way to learn about NZ university majors.
For those students thinking about going to University next year in New Zealand who are not 100% certain what they may study I encourage you to check out Paul’s online tool.
