Robocup

Due to Covid19, the physical Robocup competition was cancelled this year.

Instead, Robocup NZ held a nationwide online Robocup competition during Term 3.

The competition received over 70 entries, entered into 5 new categories. The categories included: a Robot artist, a self-driving robot, a robotic theatre entry, a biorobot with animal-like movements and finally a robot that will make someone's life easier.

I entered the last category with a table setting robot. It was able to set four places, each with knives, forks, plates and cup, finishing with the salt and pepper in the middle of the table. It took much of term 3 to make it and all of the first week of the school holidays, building, programming and finally creating a video entry.

I was lucky enough to be first in my challenge and ended up winning a Lego Spike Prime robotic kit, which will be really useful for next years Robocup.
