Continuing with our proud tradition of producing fantastic singers, this week, Nicholas Finnie (Year 12) and Ted Finney-Waters (Year 10) were selected for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Choir.
The NZSSC is a choir of around 60 students from around New Zealand. It is a massive two year commitment, where the boys will give up their holidays to spend plenty of time learning and rehearsing with the other members and fantastic teachers.
Time with the NZSSC usually involves quite a bit of travelling and performing, with previous choirs touring countries like Hong Kong, Canada, Argentina, and Brazil. Hopefully over the next two years, international travel will become possible so the boys will be able to have the full experience.
It is a fantastic effort from these boys, especially with Ted getting in as a Year 10 student. They have done the school proud.
