Hunter's Musical Success

Year 10 student Hunter Burgess plays in the John McGlashan Pipe Band, which is made up of pipers from schools in Dunedin.

Competing in Dunedin last weekend, they were awarded the Dugald McKay Memorial Trophy for Best Grade 4 Pipe Corp (Set, Medley and Street March) for Otago bands. 

Considering they are mostly young adults/children competing against adults, this was a phenomenal achievement.

Hunter has been asked to play with the Dunedin City Pipe Band prior to the Highlanders game at Forsyth Barr stadium on Friday night.
