The annual Otago Intercollegiate Golf Tournament took place on Monday at the Cromwell Golf Course.
Teams from throughout Otago competed against each other to see who would represent Otago at the National competition.
The Otago Boys’ team of Willis McNaughton (capt), Lewis Harper, Jack Kennelly and Daniel Torr got off to a very good start, and were competing for the lead after nine holes, but faded in the later stages of the round.
Wakatipu High School were the firm favourites coming into the event and pulled away to record a comfortable victory. Unfortunately, some poor shots by our players, allowed King's High School to sneak into second place over the closing holes with OBs’ finishing third overall.
Daniel was our best player on handicap and claimed third place in the individual handicap section.
