Otago Schools' Orienteering Championships

The Otago Schools' Orienteering Championships were held on Sunday 14 March.

Two quite different competitions were held on one day, with combined results dictating that the best overall orienteers took the titles. 

Event 1 was on physically demanding and intricate sand dune terrain at Warrington in the morning, followed by Event 2 with technical complex sprint racing across Southern Cemetery in the afternoon.

Students from 8 Secondary Schools across Otago took part.


OBHS Results:
Senior (Year 11-13) Boys Championship Grade - 1st Moss Pelvin, 2nd Luke Geddes.

Senior Boys Standard Grade - 1st Oliver Hobbs, 2nd Dan Hayman, 3rd Theo Nicholson.

Junior (Year 9-10) Standard Grade - 2nd Xander Maguire.
