During the recent school holidays a group of eleven students and two staff members went away on a short golf trip.
The object of the trip was for the students to further develop their skills and to play
on some different courses.
The first stop was at the Milton Golf Course where the group was divided into teams and nine holes were played in cold, wet conditions. We then travelled through to Hamish and Larissa Brown's farm situated on the hills above Waitahuna where we were hosted to an amazing lunch which was really appreciated by everybody. After lunch the weather improved, and we played a higher standard of golf at the Lawrence Golf Club before going through to Roxburgh where we spent the night.
After a good breakfast we played the picturesque Roxburgh Golf Course. Once again it was a very chilly start, but everybody got out onto the course and had fun, some even played eighteen holes!
A mandatory stop at Jimmy’s Pies for lunch was enjoyed by all before returning to Dunedin.
