North Island Diving Championships

After a year of lockdown and cancelled events. It was a real privilege to take 13 Diving Õtākou divers away to attend the North Island Championships held in Hamilton from the 9th April to the 12th April.

This was our biggest team to attend the event, and the largest number of divers registered to compete.

Otago Boys' divers Theo Smith and Rohan Leckie-Zaharic, both Year 12 students, competed in the Boys Age Group A on the 1metre, 3metre and platform.

Theo placed 1st in these events and achieved a PB on both the 1metre and 3metre.
Rohan placed 2nd on both platform and the 1metre with a PB on the 1metre and 3rd on the 3metre. 

Theo also competed in the Open Mens 1metre event placing 2nd.
