George Scurr, Year 12 Gateway Placement is hosted by Careys Bay Marine Services.
I have completed five Fridays so far at Careys Bay Marine Services for Gateway.
I have been really enjoying this opportunity. I have taken on lots of little projects: pressure testing a fuel tank, preparing a boat for painting, fibre glassing an eyebrow of a boat and lots of woodwork. I am under way with engineering unit standards in my timetabled Gateway periods.
