Nicholas Finnie and Ted Finney-Waters had a busy and successful weekend at the annual Green Island Vocal Competition.

Both boys were entered in four categories, and did extremely well. The competition required the boys to learn five pieces, which added to the massive commitment of being involved in the production, boys choir, combined choir, and New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir.

In the under-18 section, Nicholas was awarded First in Musical Theatre, First in Novice, Second in Sacred, and Highly Commended in the Scholarship section.

In the under-16 section, Ted gained First in the Test Song, First in New Zealand Composer, First in Sacred, and First in the Scholarship section, including an additional scholarship that included a cash prize and a performance at the winter concert held by the Dunedin Entertainers Club.

It was a long weekend for these two, who looked stylish and sounded even better.
