Boudewijn and Beethoven

By Konrad Hanson | Posted: Thursday June 10, 2021

This weekend will be an extremely busy, but exciting one for Boudewijn Keenan.

On Saturday morning he will be performing in Otago University's Marama Hall as a competitor in the Chamber Contest. This is Boudewijn's fifth appearance in the competition and has already achieved much success. He and his chamber group have been working extremely hard, finding time to rehearse while preparing for a number of different performances, such as his recent finals performance at the town hall as part of the Dunedin Concerto Competition.

After his chamber contest performance in the morning, Boudewijn will get ready to revisit the grand stage of the Dunedin Town Hall. Boudewijn is performing as a cellist for the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra that evening. They are performing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony alongside soloist, and Otago Boys' old boy, Jonathan Lemalu.
