As part of our film study, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, 9B spent some time appreciating the New Zealand bush in our school's backyard!
Up Bush Poetry
Light seeps between the trees.
Only browns separate from the greens.
There is barely a breeze beneath the leaves.
The new growth thrives in the soft dirt.
Pine needles slipping beneath my feet.
The bird's conversation creates a beat.
Cold, damp air takes away the heat.
Trees, bushes and leaves cover the ground.
A breath of fresh air is what we need.
More concentration is guaranteed.
I’m sure we can not disagree;
a short break is well received.
