Kia orana, Noa’ia, Talofa lava, Mauri, Mālō e lelei, Tālofa, Ni Sa Bula Vinaka, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Mālō ni and warm Pacific greetings.
Last week our annual Māori and Pasifika communities came together to celebrate our annual awards night, acknowledging the success of our Māori Rangatahi and our Tama Pasifika students in 2021.
The awards covered a wide range of achievements within the school which included academic, cultural and sport. It was a great way to celebrate these students and their resilience, perseverance, and their amazing achievements throughout 2021 and another difficult year.
The night as is always another fantastic opportunity to say tofa soifua and farewell to all our Year 13 students and celebrate such outstanding role models, mentors’ tutors and leaders that have continually contributed greatly to the success, growth and development of our Māori and Pasifika students and communities here at Otago Boys’ High School throughout the past 5 years.
The night concluded with a catch up with the students, their whanau’s and aiga over some light refreshments.
