This term Year 10 French have not only been learning a lot about the history of the French Revolution but also discovering more about French-speaking countries around the world.
We have found out that French is the 5th most spoken language in the world with more than 275 million daily fluent speakers and another 77-110 million second-language speakers. That's a lot of people that OBHS boys can look forward to talking with one day!
Most excitingly, French is spoken on all of the continents, so chances are you will stumble across a French speaker wherever you go. The boys have learned that there is much more to French than France. They have been doing some in-depth research on la Francophonie and have created some really cool posters. Some of their work is showcased here. It has to be said that the standard of these posters is exceptional and the boys should be extremely proud of themselves.
Félicitations!
