Welcome to the latest School House Newsletter

Greetings and welcome to our School House Community. Welcome to our next edition of our Newsletter. Despite the phrase three changes and increase in covid cases in New Zealand, our boys have managed to keep busy with a number of sports, extra curricular activities and weekend activities.

Phase 3 Updates in Hostel

This is to inform all parents and the wider community that the School House hostel is Not considered a Household under the new guidelines. If we get a positive case from a boy in the hostel, only those who he rooms with will be considered a close contact. We will still use the 1.5 metre rule to determine who is a close contact from being exposed to the virus over a period of time.

We remind and ask all parents if your son is on an overnight leave anywhere that they must complete the google form before they re-enter the hostel. Add this to your favourites. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfvkFAznYMAtg_kArohMJ9UnbGXxAoKwR1LCCUN8yUujSaPIw/viewform?usp=sf_link

This is also a timely reminder to be cautious about where you allow your sons to go on leave as with the rapid rise in covid cases there is potential for exposure in so many settings especially at social gatherings.

Please note as per our protocols if boys display two of the main covid symptoms we will require them to be collected and require a negative covid test. We will accept RAT (rapid antigen test) negative results also. If boys have been at social gatherings, this will add to the risk of getting covid 19 so keep this in mind when approving leave please..

Sunday Activities

Our boys enjoyed a great day out at Leap - Clip n Climb on Sunday scaling the walls of various challenges and jumping around trying the best combinations of moves, playing dodge ball, trying their best slam dunk, and racing through the inflatable obstacle course. Lots of fun was had by all.Our boys also enjoyed Ten Pin Bowling the weekend before and look forward to many more opportunities this term. Today the boys are going surfing.
