Henry heading to Italy

Congratulations to Year 13 student Henry Kirk on his selection in the 2022 Rowing New Zealand under 19 team.

Henry is the only rower from Otago to be selected as a member of the under 19 Men's Coxless Four. He will head to Cambridge on the 14th of May to train with his team before travelling to Italy to compete at the championships being held in Varese, Italy from 27 - 31 July.

Henry began rowing when he joined Otago Boys' in 2018. His highlights to date include winning gold in the under 17 double with Grayson Small at Maadi Cup, as well as meeting other rowers from throughout the country.

Once he has finished school, he intends to move to Cambridge to train and further his rowing career.
