Along with my family, I have very recently moved to New Zealand from Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. I have spent the past 20 years teaching Engineering Graphics and Design and was even the national examiner for this subject. I have a BCom degree and a post-graduate diploma in education. Our move to New Zealand has been an exciting one and I am happy to have ended up at Otago Boys’ High School. Teaching has been a passion of mine and being part of the development of individuals in the classroom and beyond is something that I really enjoy.
I am happily married and have two daughters and a son. We are adapting fast to the change in culture and slowly settling into the community and calling Dunedin our home. We love the outdoors and camping and are enjoying exploring the surrounds over the weekends. We are looking forward to many new adventures and challenges as we explore this beautiful country and make the New Zealand lifestyle our own.

I am originally from Mataura, Southland but moved to Dunedin at the age of 20 to complete my apprenticeship and do further study at the Otago Polytechnic.
After spending over 18 years in the trade sector around Dunedin, I trained at the Southland campus as a Technology teacher.
Initially I worked as a woodwork/metalwork teacher for 18 years in intermediate schools. Macandrew Intermediate for 8 years (now Bathgate school) followed by Dunedin North Intermediate for 10 years. For the past 4 years I have been teaching at Mount Aspiring College in Wanaka.
This year we decided to return to Dunedin, and are so pleased to be back. I am now a Woodwork teacher at Otago Boys'.
My partner Anna is currently working for the Hospice. I have two children. Peita who is working for the Police and Caspian who is currently studying at the Otago Polytechnic, undertaking the Mechanics course.
In my spare time I collect and restore antique furniture, drive around in a 1955 Vauxhall Velox, and I am currently restoring our 1860’s home.
