This morning a group of Saxton house leaders, prefects, and other helpers loaded up the school van to drop off cans, cereals, and other food items to the local food bank.
This year's house can drive was one of the most successful yet. We had easily over 1000 food items that were dropped off and are going to families and homes during times of need.
The donation was graciously accepted. This competition provides important support to the families and households that require the services of the local food bank. With the cost of living and inflation sky-rocketing, this is extremely important.
The food bank is always crying out for donations, and it was great to see the OBHS spirit to once again tackle this issue head-on. The support from the students was overwhelming as we unpacked the van and filled as much space within the bank as possible.
A big thank you to all the students who supported the can drive again this year. We completely understand that not all households are able to contribute much to this house competition but the turnout this year was incredible.
Thank you to all who supported it!
