Otago/Southland Secondary Schools Cross Country Relay

The third event in the series was held in Milton on Wednesday, 1 June.

Once again, Otago Boys' fielded two strong teams, both coming away with podium finishes.

The junior team consisting of Fergus Oberlin-Brown, Hugo Barsby, Toby Ollerenshaw and Will Nichol arrived home in second place in the junior boys (U15) event with a time of 26:37.7.  Fergus ran the 3rd fastest lap overall with a time of 6:15.9.

The senior team of Matthew Bolter, Ronan Melville, Tom Dunn and Jake Owen secured first place in the senior boys (O15) race with a time of 25:14.3, coming home ahead of John McGlashan College and Kavanagh College respectively. Jake Owen recorded the fastest overall lap at 5:47.1.

The next event on the calendar is the Otago Champs which will be held on Thursday, 9 June at Kaikorai Valley College.
