Return to Hostel:
Boys can return to hostel on Sunday 24th July from 2pm onwards. Boys must be in Full School Uniform when they arrive. They can change as soon as they arrive. This has always been in place to ensure our boys come back to hostel focused on their learning and the term ahead.
Fishing Charter Boat trip:
This is scheduled for Sunday 31st July. Thank you to those parents who confirmed your sons name on the list. We will be departing from the hostel at 6:15am that morning.
School Production
Our annual combined production with OGHS is not far off. This year’s show is the musical EW, Theatre Nerds. It is a revue style show with songs and dance routines from some of your favourite musicals. The season opens on Tuesday, August 9 and runs until Sunday, August 13. We will be taking all our boys onsite to this production which involves a large number of our hostel boys this year.
Tickets are also on sale now and can be purchased at tickets.otagogirls.school.nz
Performance Times
Tuesday to Saturday 7.00pm
Sunday 2.00pm and 7.00pm
International Boys Joining School House
We welcome two International Boys from Taiwan and China, who will be joining School House Hostel this term and with others joining in Term 4 from Japan and Term 1 in 2023 from other various countries. It is great to see our borders opening more and hopefully a return to some normality.
Sunday Activities
Our boys enjoyed going Ice Skating and having some fun trying to stay upright as best as possible. We also have more fun planned for our boys this term and look forward to getting out in the community.
Month of Service
This August we have our Annual Month of Service where our boys head out in to the community and give service to both our local community as well as our country and old boy community. Our boys will be assigned tasks and activities to be involved with and understand the importance of giving service to others.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday break and we look forward to seeing all your boys back in the hostel very soon.
Follow us on our social media platforms Instagram: @obhshostel and Facebook Otago Boys’ High School Hostel for information and activities our boys are doing.
