After weeks of preparation, each house performed well at the annual School Song House Competition.
The adjudicator, Ben Madden, focused on articulation, accuracy, aesthetic quality, and school spirit. All four houses had plenty of school spirit, so it came down to who could deliver a beautiful and professional sounding school song.
Park took the title with plenty of accuracy and clarity in their singing. They seemed to be the house that best managed to prevent school spirit from becoming more shouting and less singing. With some fine attention to detail, Park had been well coached by Maestro McGarry. Aspinall finished second, with McIndoe in third and Saxton fourth.
Mr Madden did mention that all four houses were a notable step up from last year and that the hours put in by the staff choir are paying off with the students.
