This term, Year 10 has been looking at food and culture.
As part of their task, they were given different regions to focus on. They had to choose a country from that region to research and create a traditional dish from that country.
Students made Turkish pide, bomoloni (Italian doughnuts stuffed with Nutella), sushi, faikakai (Tongan dumplings with coconut caramel sauce), lamingtons, butter chicken with naan, churros, halka tatli (Turkish ring dessert), malva pudding (South African baked dessert), soft shell chicken tacos and Mexican chicken mole with dark chocolate.
Some excellent dishes were made and there were some surprises on how good they tasted!
