A message from the Rector

Another excellent week.

I returned from the Year 9 Hostel camp late on Monday. This camp, held in the first weekend of the term is a great opportunity for us to spend time with this group of boys.

We got to experience the excellent outdoor environment Mt Aspiring offers, a real prelude to the Year 10 camps which start shortly. If, as a parent, you have a boy who is reluctant, I can only say there are good reasons why we make it compulsory. The challenge, the lack of distraction and the team building are something very few get to experience. It is also probably the first time he may have been away from you. That is a milestone that needs to happen.

Our scholarship results, released on Tuesday were once again strong. There were 15 scholarships and 2 outstanding results. This, again, shows the academic commitment of both our students and staff as scholarship is an extra. Congratulations to each of our staff and students who have been successful here.

Athletics day has started, I've got my first cricket game tomorrow, we are underway and I couldn't be happier.
