Year 9 School House camp

The Year 9 boys had a great long weekend away at OBHS Mt Aspiring Lodge alongside Mr Mahutariki, Mr Hall, Mr Rowe and Mrs Martin.

Team building activities, physical and mental challenges including the Inaugural Year 9 Rock Challenge were completed with a whole lot of fun. 

Supported by our School House Prefects, the Year 9 group were able to come together as a cohort and develop connections and friendships. They set an impressive time of 30 minutes and 29 seconds in the Rock Challenge, carrying a rock around a 5km course up and down the valley and around the lodge in a relay form where every boy carried the rock and added value. The boys planned out the race and the placement of each other. They worked very well together and enjoyed the experience. 

It has been a great way for the boys to start the year.
