League team take title

The Otago Boys' High School U16 rugby league 9's team competed at the school competition last Sunday.

The team was led by co-captains Micah Puni and Damian Corbett and coached by Jayden Hollander (OBHS old boy) who was assisted by Josh Thompson. 

The team dominated the tournament winning all of their round robin games to qualify for the finals. In the final they met King's High School which made for a tense battle. Otago Boys' came out victorious winning 12-6. 

Te-Ava-A-Katu Nicholas took out the 16 grade MVP!

A number of players have also been selected to represent Otago in the U16 and U18 9s teams competing at the South Island and NZRL National Champs.
