We would like to announce our Term One Students of the Term.
This award recognises one young man in each year level who has lived our school values: Respect, Perseverance, Honour, Courage and Excellence. He is a student who has shown through his actions these values, not just his potential. This award, we hope, will inspire all our students.
Congratulations to the following recipients:
Year 9
Will Workman
Will has made a positive start at Otago Boys' High School. He is an engaged, respectful and positive student who displays the school values at all times. Will demonstrates perseverance and works diligently to produce excellent work.
Year 10
Alexis Owen
Alexis is an outstanding young man who gives 100% both inside and out of the classroom. He is incredibly well organised and strives for excellence. Alexis is well liked and respected by his peers and manages to balance his school work with his passion of surfing which has led him to become a national age group champion.
Year 11
Mikko Johnston
Mikko is always ready to learn and is focused on achieving at a high level. He actively contributes to class discussions and is always happy to assist his peers. Mikko is a mature young man, who along with being a talented orator and musician is the lead in this year's school production.
Year 12
Hugo Barsby
Hugo demonstrates the school's values on a daily basis. Taking pride in his work, he works hard to achieve good results. Hugo is a polite and helpful student who uses his quiet manner to support his peers.
Year 13
Matthew Attenborough
Matthew has made a great start to the year as a prefect. He goes over and above in supporting other students and is a positive role model. Matthew contributes in his lessons often utilising his great sense of humour.
