On the run

OBHS Property Manager Russell Pope is not only busy looking after the school Monday to Friday, he spends his weekends on the run.

Russell is an avid cyclist and runner having completed a number of half and full triathlons, Ironman and Coast to Coast events. You will see him most Saturday mornings at the weekly Park Run where most recently he placed 1st in the veteran section completing the 5km run in a time of 23:22.

Last weekend Russell participated in the Southern Lakes Half Marathon, in a time of 1hour and 31 minutes. He placed 3rd in the vet division and 53rd out of a total of 331 competitors.
