Happiness is . . . a shed full of firewood!
Thanks to the huge contribution from our maintenance team of Russ and Mark up at the Lodge last weekend, we now have plenty of firewood under cover for the next season of camps.
The weather didn’t let us complete as much as we would have liked however, with torrential rain and an impressive thunderstorm ruling out any work on the Friday afternoon. Saturday saw very good progress made on the large tree that came down on our front lawn during the winter storms of 2022, and we estimate that there is firewood for at least another year left on it.
We hosted 13 members of the Water Action Initiative group from Wanaka on the Saturday night, and have already made preliminary plans to involve some of our students in voluntary work with them in the future.
